Position: Brewer Apply By: February 20th, 2025 Reports to: Manager of Brewing Operations The Brewer position at Stemma Brewing Co. assists the Manager of Brewing Operations and brew team to produce quality beer, ensure brewhouse cleanliness, adhere to operating procedures, and contribute as needed to the success of the team. Responsibilities: •Brew delicious beers •Clean and sanitize equipment, including tanks, kegs, and draft lines •Transfer, keg, package, analyze beers •Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) •Keep accurate records and data tracking •Maintain safe and sanitary work environment •Participate in sensory program •Communicate clearly and concisely with teammates •Assist with inventory management •Take directions from manager as needed •Represent Stemma at events Qualifications: •Previous brewery or similar experience (3+ years desired) •Passion for craft beer •Knowledge of industry rules and regulations •Desire and willingness to learn •Willing to innovate, improve, and collaborate •Must be detail-oriented •Good communicator •Team player •Able to meet deadlines and prioritize •Excel under pressure and through obstacles •Self-starter •Humble, kind, honest Physical Requirements: To perform this job, individuals must meet certain physical requirements and must be able to satisfactorily complete essential job duties successfully and safely. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •Ability to be on your feet and stand for long periods. •Ability to frequently walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb. •Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs overhead. •Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. •Ability to participate in sensory evaluation of beers (sight, smell, taste). *Bonus Points if you love working independently and with a team, cleaning, and have a great attitude! Hours: 40 hrs/wk. (10-hour, 4-day work week) Hourly, depending on experience. Overtime possible. Position: Beertender Currently Accepting Applications Reports to: Manager of Taproom Operations Beertenders at Stemma Brewing Co. are integral to our taproom service. Beertenders ensure customers have a great experience every visit, are knowledgeable about beer styles and brewing, and are personable and able to have fun with coworkers and customers. Responsibilities: ●Represent Stemma and company values ●Describe and differentiate between beer styles on tap ●Properly pour beers in appropriate glassware ●Ability to discern situations and when to cut off service ●Maintain sanitary and beer-clean bar ●Open and close taproom ●Willing to share fun and innovative ideas ●Coordinate with appropriate teammates as needed ●Maintain a fun and safe taproom environment Qualifications: ●1+ yr bartending experience, or 3+ years customer service experience ●Good communication skills ●Kind and Friendly ●Passion for craft beer ●Knowledge of industry rules and regulations ●Responsible and level-headed ●Desire and willingness to learn ●Detail Oriented ●Team Player ●Excel under pressure ●Humble, kind, honest ●Flexible Physical Requirements: To perform this job, individuals must meet certain physical requirements and must be able to satisfactorily complete essential job duties successfully and safely. Hours: We currently have both part-time and full-time positions available, with hours split between Stemma taproom locations (2039 Moore St. + 500 Carolina St.): Full Time: 36-40 hrs/wk Must have flexible schedule and be able to work evenings and weekends. Includes Full-Time Benefits: -Company Paid Medical & Dental Insurance, including HSA employer contribution -Company Paid Participation in Direct Primary Care -Paid Vacation -Paid Sick Time -Discounted Beer and Merch Part Time: 8-24 hrs/wk -Must have flexible schedule and be able to work evenings and weekends.
